TRACER REPORT
The Water Research Commission (WRC) recognised the impact of the programme on building the skills and capacities of beneficiaries and on the water sector as a whole. The WRC, therefore issued a call for proposals to develop a database and conduct a tracer study of individuals that had benefitted from the FETWater Programme across all three phases of implementation. The study also looked into impact of the FETWater Programme on the individuals,their organisations and the impact of both the individuals and their organisations on the overall water sector. An assessment was conducted on the usefulness and the application of the products developed during the three phases of the FETWater programme
The objectives of the tracer study :
- Develop and populate a database with persons and organisations that participated and benefited from the Framework Programme for Research, Education, and Training (FETWater) phases;
- Track and trace individuals to ascertain where they are and how the FETWater programme had benefited them and the sectors at large;
- Track the usefulness of the products that were developed during the various phases and how they were currently being used.
- Understand the strength and weakness of the programme and making recommendations to improve future training and education programmes.
